The Hovercraft Split is a nimble and explosive all-terrain splitboard built with our most advanced 3D shape tech and groundbreaking recycled materials. The Hovercraft’s new shape features the floaty nose, compact tail, directional rocker profile and long sidecut that made the original shape so versatile, but its been supercharged with 12mm of spoon bevel in the nose for lightning fast turn initiation, and a speed boosting 3D hull in the tail. For enhanced grip on icy skintracks or descents it has Inner/Outer Traction Tech 2.0 edges, and for supreme torsional board connection, it’s built with the Boltless Bridge, plus Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0 and Tip-Lock Tip Clips. The new Hovercraft Split is also made with recycled materials from old snowboards making it our most responsibly produced splitboard. Now a unisex model with sizes to fit every size rider, the Hovercraft Split is ready to win the hearts of backcountry rippers once again.

Directional Rocker: A hybrid rocker/camber flex pattern defined by more tip rocker then tail rocker and camber between the bindings. The rocketed tip floats the board’s nose and improves maneuverability while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response. A slightly rocketed tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board but helps keep the tail catch-free initiating turns and landing switch.

Biax: A dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched fiberglass laminate that provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride.
Base
Sintered 8000 Base : Super durable material made from Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and carbon. Base is easily repairable, highly wax absorbent and wicked fast.
Edges
In. & Out. Traction Tech: Like serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running legit of your board. The Traction Tech on the inner-edge improves splitboard edge grip on ascent to keep you locked in on icy skin tracks.
Progressive Sidecut: At the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.
Oversized Recycled Edges: All Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved production sustainability.

Quick Tension Tail: Built-in climbing skin tension system using pre-cut notch that eliminates the need for a traditional skin tail clip.
Bolt-Less Bridge: Eliminates split clip attachment hardware from the base of the board by re-profiling the wood core at the clips. The wood core under the clips is thicker providing better torsional stiffness and a more powerful connection at the split clips.
Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0 with Tip-Lock: Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0 are lighter weight, clamp tighter and have a smaller footprint than the original Ultra Clip. They are also adjustable so you can maintain even compression as your splitboard ages.
Bio Resin: All Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy.
Wend Natural Wax: Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax.
